‘Gotten’ used to it?

Sir, – Please inform your sports writers and subeditors that, unless you are using American English, the past participle of the verb to get is not “gotten”.

I have got used to the seemingly compulsory employment of “lookit” in spoken commentary on sport; “gotten” is well on its way to becoming a similar blight on written commentary. – Yours, etc,
