Sir, - While out enjoying my Christmas shopping last Saturday, I was confronted and affronted by the lurid posters of an anti-abortion protest outside the GPO.

Upon registering my disapproval of this graphic display, I was told by one of the protesters' number to perform-a-sexual-act off. Doubt was cast on the legitimacy of my birth and upon my facial state, it being suggested I had a disfigurement usually preceded by the words small or chicken.

While I respect everyone's right to peaceful protest, surely this does not include a licence to insult and be obscene. - Yours, etc.,
