Madam, - Contrary to a report in your edition of November 8th, the Green Party's internal review of the elections did not advocate the acceptance of corporate donations. The report, which has been circulated to constituency groups and candidates, does recommend that "some method of serious fund-raising must be found", but in the section dealing with finance specifically says: "We do not accept corporate donations and this policy has got to be retained if we are to maintain our credibility."

The party chairman, John Gormley TD, has advocated "ethical fund-raising", but at no stage has he urged the party to accept corporate donations.

- Yours, etc.,

COLM Ó CAOMHÁNAIGH, (Author of the Green Party Election Review), Dublin 2.
