Madam, – Congratulations to Rosita Boland on her lovely article on St Stephen’s Green (An Irishwoman’s Diary, October 25th). She is quite right. Once the desecration of this green space takes place it will never be reinstated.
Promises to do so are easily made to placate the public – but rarely kept. – Yours, etc,
