A chara, - I was recently informed that the small private plaque commemorating my late uncle, Harry Boland, who was assassinated in Skerries in 1922, was missing from his grave in the republican plot in Glasnevin Cemetery. I visited the plot on January 12th and confirmed that this is so. It was placed on the grave by his mother.
May I appeal to whoever removed the plaque to please return it to Glasnevin Cemetery as its removal has caused great distress to Harry's family because of its great sentimental value. - Yours, etc.,
