MARY KENNY,
Madam,- I am just completing a biography of William Joyce, known as "Lord Haw-Haw", who was executed for treason by the Crown in 1946. I would be very grateful to hear from anyone who remembers specific incidences of Irish people cheering when Haw-Haw announced British or Allied defeats during the second World War.
I have been told that this occurred and I would be grateful to hear of witnessed accounts. All letters will be acknowledged, but anonymity will also be respected if desired. - Yours, etc.,
MARY KENNY, 15 Kildare Street, Dublin 2.
