Sir, – It was hardly surprising to read that Alan Dukes, former leader of Fine Gael, is not as upset as many are over the Beacon Hospital's decision to vaccinate staff at a faraway private school with surplus vaccine doses rather than consider the many more deserving people nearby (Letters, March 31st).
Privilege is when you think something is not a problem because it is not a problem to you personally – and in this lies an explanation as to why we as a country have not even begun to eradicate the many injustices that abound here. – Yours, etc,
