Madam, – On January 8th January, you reported on “heating oil siphoned” from St Laebhan’s Church, Killeevan. Since then, this small Church of Ireland parish has received many letters from individuals and parishes, from all denominations and none, expressing their dismay as well as showing their generosity by sending the parish donations.
We live in financial hard times; still there is an amazing generosity in Ireland, from Cork in the south, to Donegal in the north, as well as from Dublin and many other places. Killeevan parish is most grateful for all support and has now purchased a concrete box which the oil-tank is placed in, preventing easy access to precious drops of oil. – Yours, etc,
