Madam, - On a a recent trip to the beautiful Hill of Tara in Co Meath, I noticed the large signs that have recently been erected outside each town along the way: "Meath - Ireland's Heritage Capital".
I couldn't help laughing ironically to myself. Given that there is a huge hotel directly outside Trim Castle and that the entire Tara/Skryne valley is being systematically destroyed by road-building, shouldn't these signs read "Meath - the destruction of Ireland's heritage capital"? - Yours, etc,
