Madam, - Charles Krauthammer (Opinion, September 22nd) says the one unambiguous achievement of George Bush's presidency is that of keeping the US safe for seven years.
How has the destruction of Iraq and the deaths of probably hundreds of thousands of people made the US safe? What involvement had Iraq with the attacks on 9/11? In reality, the US is as vulnerable to attack as ever.
I am in no doubt as to how the Presidency of George W. Bush will be remembered by the poor people of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.
