Madam, - I believe, just as we honour people in other walks of life, that it is time we honoured the founders of our State. Regardless of our political views we must all recognise the contributions made by Eamon de Valera and W.T. Cosgrave. But what we have at the moment does not do them justice.
There are many major streets and roads in the capital which, with the goodwill of their residents, could be renamed after these great men. Failing this, perhaps the authorities would consider adorning one of the major thoroughfares with monuments in their memory. - Yours, etc,
C. NOLAN, Harrington Street, Dublin 8.
