Madam, - Sympathising with Louis Le Brocquy's misfortune at being a mere citizen of Ireland and not a subject of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Colin Armstrong (November 16th), states: "If he were a British subject he would probably by now have received a high honour of some sort".
Surely the highest honour any citizen can aspire to is the respect and affection of one's fellow citizens, something Mr Le Brocquy has in abundance. - Yours, etc,
