Sir, – Is it not very disappointing that, in these dire times, horse meat has been sourced from Poland and Britain? Particularly when there was such a huge glut (documented) of unwanted Irish horses with the demise of the Celtic tiger.
Surely these Irish horses should have been slaughtered and frozen to use as required instead of horses being sourced from foreign lands? What is wrong with the Irish horse?
If we are not going to have a public inquiry, could we at least have a musical? – Yours, etc,
