Sir, – In response to “Housing crisis stems from apartment shortage, economist claims” (September 25th), surely the State’s housing crisis stems from a shortage of affordable housing, be it apartments, houses or other types of residential accommodation? As the government withdrew the affordable housing scheme in 2011, this may be a good place to start looking for solutions. – Yours, etc,
