Sir, – Reading Simon Carswell’s article, (The Bottom Line Business+Commercial Property, July 25th)) I ask myself how many times must I pay?
I am one of the 74,000 Permanent TSB mortgage holders. I have a substantial mortgage, which fortunately I am still able to pay; I am also one of the 2.2 million tax payers. So where do my interests lie? In the light of debt forgiveness proposals, I could in effect be paying three times for the mistakes of others, or am I missing something in all this mess?
Is there a Bottom Line, I wonder? For our children and our children’s children, I hope so. – Yours, etc,
