How to clean up the country

A chara, – David Maher (April 17th) suggests five good points on cleaning up the scourge of litter. I have a much simpler idea. Apply the WEEE-type tax at source on every piece of packaging and potentially disposable product. Let this tax be twice the disposal cost. Fifty per cent of this would be returned when the waste is properly disposed of. People would be running wild to cash in their waste and clean up the filth. – Is mise,
