Madam, - On a brief visit to Dublin during the week I passed a Humvee on the Merrion Road. To the best of my knowledge these vehicles were designed for the US army to ferry troops around, as in Iraq. Quite what any cretinous idiot was doing using a Humvee for commuting purposes in a Dublin suburb in these days of dwindling oil supplies is beyond my humble comprehension.
