Sir, – Mae Leonard (An Irishwoman’s Diary, February 3rd) writes of the Colleen Bawn and the books, films plays, written about her. There is a place in Africa where she has not been forgotten. It is the little village of Colleen Bawn in the Matabeleland province of Zimbabwe on the road between the South African border at Beit Bridge and Bulawayo.
