In search of the honey bee

Sir, – Richard Gallagher (June 10th) is justifiably concerned about the absence of honey bees this summer. Certainly “apocalyptic” is not too strong a word because it is said that the human race will become extinct within five years of the demise of the last honey bee. – Yours, etc,
