Sir, – Before his next outburst on public service pay and increments, perhaps Leo Varadkar (Home News, June 25th) might just ponder the thought that he, and all other TDs and Ministers, not only have their substantial salaries paid out of public taxation, but also have available to them both vouched and unvouched expenses which, on their own, exceed the before-tax salaries of most public servants. – Yours, etc,
