Sir, - It was reassuring indeed to discover in your pages something that I've suspected for some time, though without a lot of encouragement from my friends and colleagues; namely, that I'm infallible (Rev. Colin Garvey, February 2nd).
Could someone with some even deeper insights please let me know how I can convince the wife and the boss that I have this wonderful gift? Trouble is, they too think they're infallible and the Rev. Garvey concurs, thereby upsetting the applecart and deflating my ego completely in the process.
People keep telling me that The Irish Times is good value for money. If you continue to publish such gems of wisdom, I shall end up believing them. - Yours etc
