Sir, - Simon Walton of International Arts and Leisure Inc is spot-on in his analysis (November 29th) of my feelings on the Russian Spectacular ballet production at the Point Theatre.
I would indeed prefer to see "lesser known ballet companies" (such as The Royal Ballet or American Ballet Theatre) performing to "smaller audiences" (so that they are not over a hundred feet away from the stage) with "lesser known productions" (such as those by Ashton, Bejart or Balanchine). If this is "inverted snobbery" then I shall gladly wear it on my sleeve. - Yours, etc.,
