Madam, - So Martin McGuinness says no Sinn Féin representative has been called before a tribunal in the Republic (The Irish Times, January 26th). Perhaps it's about time, however, a tribunal of inquiry was set up into the activities of the Provisional IRA.

Most Irish republicans are sick to death of the Provos using the injustices suffered by Northern nationalists and the difficulties implementing the Good Friday accord as a means of hiding their criminality and subversion of our democratic processes.
