Sir, - My cousin from England came to visit us, having been very anxious to see this country again after many years. We took him out to Dun Laoghaire for dinner in a well-known hotel. He was delighted with the hotel and its ambience and was considering having his next conference there but was very surprised at being asked to pay a 15 per cent service charge. He told us he had travelled all through Europe and beyond and had never paid that much on the bill. - Yours, etc.,
