Ireland Of The Welcomes

Sir, - It is now a few weeks ago since my husband and I returned to Holland after spending a three-week holiday in Ireland. Looking back with a very warm feeling, we decided to write this letter to thank all the Irish for the wonderful time we had.

Of course, we were lucky: the weather was great, even though the clouds were black sometimes. But the country is so beautiful; every corner you turn it looks like another country. We drove from Rosslare along the south coast, up the west coast to Connemara and back through the Wicklow Mountains. We really enjoyed the nature.

What we also liked very much was the kindness of all the people we met. We stayed all nights in bed and breakfasts, which were all very good (clean, kind, heavy breakfast). Most of all we would like to thank the Burke family in Dunmore East and Pat Connolly who runs Doneen Lodge in Letterfrack. They showed us the utmost possible hospitality! Thank you, all Irish people. - Yours etc.,

From Gerard de Lange and Angelique Wouters
