Sir, - In the same edition of The Irish Times (August 6th) that reported the militant Hamas movement's pledge to "burn every Jew" in Israel, your Letters columns carried a suggestion from a Mr Vincent Morley that any future contributions to the Israeli-Palestinian debate by the Ambassador of Israel, Mr Zvi Gabay, be confined to the Letters page.
1 would like to assure Ambassador Gabay that there are people in this country who see through the virulent anti-Israeli stance adopted by the media generally, including The Irish Times. The all too rare articles by the Israeli ambassador are a welcome redress of balance in this critical debate. Long may they continue. - Yours, etc.,
