Madam, – I note from your report (Home News, April 15th) of the jailing of a sailor for giving away his ship’s position at sea that another (rather bizarre) charge of “being in possession of counterfeit hair straighteners” was dropped.
If only he did have hair straighteners in his possession, they might have helped him to go straight from now on. – Yours, etc,
