Madam, - Last Friday RTE's Six-One News carried Roy Keane's departure from Manchester United as its lead story. That was followed by the news that more than 70 people were killed in a bombing in Iraq. Surely a strange sense of priority? - Yours, etc,

Madam, - One quarter of the front page in Saturday's edition, a quarter of page 3, an Editorial, and almost three full pages in the sports section. Enough to make me pray Monday's edition would be Keane-free.

May I remind you that we are talking about an overpaid and over-indulged man who gets paid for kicking a ball and sometimes his opponents and who did walk out on his country.
