Kildare Bypass blues

Madam, - Sometime, somewhere, some agency, authority, body, commission, committee, council, group, taskforce, or other bureaucratic organism decided that the Kildare Bypass should end north of Monasterevin rather than continue south to link with the Portlaoise Bypass.

I don't suppose that any other agency, authority etc, will estimate the cost in misery, time or money, of that decision.

Now, we are promised that the Monasterevin bypass will be completed in 2005 or 2006.

But it will be tolled.

Can we at least hope that there will be enough booths to prevent M50-style queues?
