Madam, - I am writing to second Alan Barwise's question to you in his letter of February 7th: "Why does The Irish Timespersist in publishing Mr Krauthammer's articles?"
As an American resident in Dublin I am deeply dismayed to see the pieces by Charles Krauthammer, the only American columnist published regularly by the paper, appearing as an authoritative version of American opinion. In fact, his views are merely in line with an administration which is supported by an ever declining minority of the population.
Most people I know would find Krauthammer to be a right wing agitator-apologist in his views. If you must persist in publishing him, can you not find another columnist to balance those views, such as Thomas Friedman or Maureen Dowd of The New York Times? - Yours, etc,
