Sir, – In your Editorial (May 29th) you refer to the launch of the Labour Party in Clonmel in May 1912. While it is correct to say that my great grandfather James Connolly proposed the motion, James Larkin did not, as you state, second the proposal. William O’Brien was to, but at Connolly’s request he agreed to allow a delegate from Belfast that honour. The motion was carried. – Yours, etc,
