Madam, - Last weekend I motored with relatives from Dublin to Kilmore Quay to attend a memorial service. It was such a beautiful day we decided to bring tea and sandwiches with us and have a picnic on the way down. But to our dismay, on that journey we did not come across one lay-by where we could stop and have our meal.
It seems incredible that on the main road from the capital to just short of the port of Rosslare there was nowhere with tables and seats where drivers could pull over and have a rest or some refreshment. Both Wicklow and Wexford county councils should be ashamed of themselves. - Yours, etc.,
BRENDAN LANGLEY, Ranelagh, Dublin 6.
