Madam, - A recent letter from a member of Discovery - Dublin's Interactive Science Centre Project - described how easily cultural commitments, as in Docklands, can be overturned. The frustration for anyone interested in science must be bitter.
Probably every other capital city in Europe has a museum dedicated to the sciences. Where is Dublin's? True, there are meant to be a few bits and pieces in a room somewhere in Trinity, but what is desperately needed is an up-to-date museum that would not only draw tourists but would encourage an interest in the subject - which we are continually told is essential for Ireland's future. - Yours, etc,
RAY O'LUBY, Bournemouth, England.
