Over the years, these buildings played host to myriads of visiting rugby players.
Their exterior walls bear plaques inscribed with the names of players who died in the first World War.
It will be a pity if these buildings are to meet the same fate as the former Veterinary College building on Shelbourne Road, which dated from 1908. Every effort should be made to preserve them for posterity. - Yours, etc,
