Madam, – I suggest that all members of Dáil Éireann lead by example and accept the proposed minimum wage in full recompense for their services for the next three years.
No allowance should be accepted for the cost of getting to work. Citizens in general do not qualify for tax relief on such expenditure. No free cars, planes or bicycles for ministers.
