Madam, - Your report that the Bush administration has dismissed an Iranian offer to suspend its nuclear fuel production if the United States and other Western countries do the same points up the hypocrisy of the nuclear debate. The UN should insist that this offer is debated.
Iran would have done even better if it had made the offer to suspend if just one of the nuclear powers would follow suit. That would have placed the onus on each of the hypocrites individually. Each would have been obliged to stand up at the UN and defend its position. - Yours, etc,
