A Chara, - Cllr Aodhan Ó Riordáin claims (July 12th) that the Western Development Commission's Look West Campaign "has depicted Dublin in a very negative light". This is incorrect. The writer has confused the WDC's positive public information campaign with a completely different commercial advertising campaign being run by some private enterprise.
The WDC, the statutory body promoting the economic and social development of the Western Region, has no interest in being negative about any part of the island. We are, however, interested in informing the public about the many positive aspects of living in the West. - Is mise,
