Sir, - You reported in your edition of April 17th that a £740,000 National Lottery prize was lost to its winner. This reader for one would like to know where the money goes in such a situation. There is, no doubt, some proviso in the terms of the National Lottery. However, considering the quite horrifying events in Kosovo there would surely be widespread support from Irish men and women that it be entirely used for relief work there.
Could Mr Ray Bates advise your readers if this has been considered? - Yours, etc., George A. McCaw,
Crannagh Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 14.
