JOE HARVEY,
Sir, - Having felt quite ill after hearing Roy Keane say that he was "delighted to know that the majority of Irish people back him", I got some relief reading your letters page. It is heartening to know that there are many like me, who still believe he let us down with his antics at, and indeed during, the World Cup. It is my honest belief that he should not be allowed play for Ireland again without a full apology, and I do not mean to Mick McCarthy only, but to the Irish nation as a whole. I would like to point out that I have not missed a home international of any kind in almost 20 years. I can only hope that people will show their disgust in a way he will know about, and that is leaving his forthcoming book on the shelf where it belongs. - Yours, etc.,
JOE HARVEY,
