Malin Head and tourism

Sir, – After a recent trip back to Malin Head, Co Donegal, might I say how much it annoys me that there is not a proper visitor facility there. It was a cold and blustery day, but as always this did not in any way detract from its wild and rugged beauty. As I was walking along, a German couple asked if there was anywhere that tells the history of the place or a coffee shop. Unfortunately, I had to say no.

We are constantly trying to promote Ireland as a destination abroad, and surely more thought should be given to the most northerly point in Ireland. Or has all the funding gone south to Cork and Kerry once again? – Yours, et,
