Madam, – Five Majors in four years and a host of young talented Irish golfers making all the right headlines on and off the course. It’s fantastic for golf on this island! Their skills on the course have been nothing short of sensational over the past few years on both tours, but the way they conduct themselves off the course is also very heartening.
Each win brings further accolade for the Golfing Union of Ireland as a pan-island sporting association and great credit goes to it for identifying talent, nurturing and managing it over many years and being on hand to witness the successes of Harrington, McDowell, McIlroy, Lowry, Maybin, et al.
