BRENDAN BUTLER,
Sir, - Wouldn't it be great if the media showed the same commitment and passion into publicising the deaths of the estimated 5,000 deaths a month of Iraqi children as they showed in the publicity given to the killings of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman.
While having every sympathy with the families of both girls it seems that the lives and deaths of children in Iraq and the developing world have little or no media value in our society. - Yours, etc.,
BRENDAN BUTLER, Swords, Co Dublin
