Sir, – Further to Michael Harding's reference to "south Ulster" in "The champions of Brexit are like distressed orangutans" (July 20th), Cavan only became part of Ulster recently, in 1548. It might be easier for Cavan to rejoin Connacht than become part of a new "south Ulster".
Brexit is just another shuffle in the long history of Border counties. – Yours, etc,
