Madam, - In Donald Clarke's scathing review of Fahrenheit 9/11 (The Irish Times, July 3rd) he writes: "[Michael\] Moore is known to insist upon staying in the most luxurious hotels in whichever city he is currently eating his way through."
Last summer I asked Michael Moore to speak at Féile an Phobail in West Belfast. He came to the city at his own expense, refused a fee and insisted that the festival event be free to the public. We had to persuade him to allow us to pay for his overnight accommodation, which I can assure you was not in either of Belfast's two five-star hotels. - Yours, etc.,
DANNY MORRISON, Chair, Féile an Phobail, Falls Road, Belfast.
