Madam, - Gerry Moriarty's report in your edition of November 3rd was headlined: "Parade to laud British Army passes peacefully". In fact, the objective of the parade was to welcome home to Ireland Irishmen from North and South who had been fighting, as part of the International Security Assistance Force, the anti-West, anti-Christian, anti-women Taliban. They seem to deserve a welcome home, having put their lives on the line.
But, one may ask, what was the message being conveyed by the protesters? Would we welcome these men and their families into John Hume's "Agreed Ireland"? - Yours, etc,
