Sir, – There was very sound advice given to all engaged couples attending a pre-marriage course at Milltown Park in 1959. These courses were directed by a wonderful Jesuit, Fr Maloney. He suggested that if visitors to our new home were inclined to overstay and we were anxious to get to bed , for one of us to put out the empty bottles! – Yours, etc,
