Madam, - Perhaps Minister for Education Mary Hanafin, in her address to the Irish School Principals' conference last Friday, has stumbled across a tactic that her Cabinet colleagues might adopt. The simple solution to critics in the press is to tell them to "stop moaning".
The Minister for Health could tell the patients ensuring long wait on hospital trolleys to "stop moaning".
The Minister for Communications could tell broadband hopefuls to "stop moaning" and be happy with the 5 per cent penetration. The Minister for Transport could tell car owners to "stop moaning" about toll charges.
I guess the ballot box is the only location where moaners will be sure of being counted. - Yours, etc,
