Madam, - George Bush says that his morality will not allow him to pass stem cell legislation where the potential for human lives are taken in order to save life. It is a shame that this moral compass does not extend to the civilian deaths in Lebanon. While there have been dreadful human casualties in Israel the disproportiate civilian death toll on the Lebanese side is horrific. World leaders are allowing this conflict as part of the wider "war on terror". While many nations are indirectly involved in the conflict sufficient American will could lead to a speedier resolution or at the very least a ceasefire. - Yours, etc,

Madam, - George Bush argues that allowing stem cell research on such embryos is tantamount to destroying human life. I wonder what his death penalty does? - Yours, etc,
