Sir, - Does the current frantic reduction (welcome as it is) in mortgage interest rates by our national banks in response to competition from abroad not clearly illustrate years of exploitation of Irish borrowers by yet another "cosy cartel"?
What other explanation can there be for the failure of our national lenders to offer interest rates in line with our European neighbours until now? - Yours, etc.,
