Sir, - Does the Taoiseach realise that the Abbey Theatre is not a Northside Theatre, a Southside Theatre, a Dublin Theatre. It is a National Theatre. If the move to Docklands offers better facilities for both artistes and audience it will be worth the money. The Abbey can continue producing good and popular plays while building is in progress. Also, it is about time that Dublin had its own municipal theatre. Let the Taoiseach lobby for one on the current site of the Abbey Theatre. Surely Dublin Corporation and the Government can use their combined influence in extending the venue to developing a Dublin Civic Theatre at last. - Yours, etc.,
